Frequently Asked Dental Questions - Fort Worth, TX

The Answers to Your Dental Questions

If you have any questions concerning you or your family’s dental care, you’ll always find answers here at Studio Dental of Chisholm Trail. No question is too small or too specific for Dr. Patel and our team—we want you to know everything you need to take great care of you and your loved one’s smiles! Below, we’ve gone ahead and answered some of our most frequently asked dental questions, but if there is anything else you’d like to know, feel free to give us a call anytime.

What should I do if one of my teeth really hurts?

We recommend rinsing and flossing around it first to dislodge anything that might be stuck and causing the pain. If the problem persists, take an OTC medication like ibuprofen, and give our dental office a call. We’ll schedule you for an appointment right away so we can take care of your tooth before it becomes worse!

Can you close this gap between my front teeth?

Yes! We actually have two treatments that can fix this common flaw: veneers and Invisalign. Veneers cover the teeth with thin ceramic restorations to improve their shape, size, and color, and Invisalign is a discreet orthodontic system that can correct more complex spacing issues. Both are able to deliver gorgeous results, and you can learn which one would be right for you by giving us a call today!

When should my child visit the dentist for the very first time?

You should bring your child to see a dentist as soon as their first little tooth appears in their gum line. At this initial visit, Dr. Patel will simply examine your child’s mouth to make sure their teeth and jaw are developing correctly. Your child should start attending regular checkups and cleanings around age three.

Should I get a bridge, denture, or dental implants to replace my missing teeth?

The answer to this question really depends on you, namely how many teeth you are missing, where they are located, and your budget. In most cases, Dr. Patel would highly recommend dental implants to any patient who is a good candidate for them. In short, they simply offer the most natural-looking and durable option available today, and Dr. Patel is one of the few general dentists in the area who can complete the entire procedure himself from beginning to end. To learn more about your options, give us a call today.

Will you take my dental insurance?

Yes! Studio Dental of Chisholm Trail is in-network with several insurance providers, and we accept most out-of-network plans as well. To learn how we can use your specific plan at your next appointment, give us a call.

I don’t have dental insurance. Am I stuck paying full price for dental care?

Not at Studio Dental of Chisholm Trail! Patients without insurance can sign up for our In-House Savings Plan, which offers many of the same benefits as traditional insurance, but for a lower price and with less red tape. You can learn more about our plan and sign up today by clicking here.
